Winter Skin Care Routine for Dry Skin at Home

In today’s post we are going to about winter skin care routine for dry skin at home. We can feel that our skin is more dry in the winter season than in the summer season. To prevent this from happening we should use winter skincare routine. A clear description of winter skin care routine can be seen in the following slides.

Causes of Dry Skin During Winter

  • We can feel that our skin is more dry in winter season than this summer season and it causes some irritation. You can prevent these by using a proper winter skin care routine. During this winter season, your skin may feel a bit flaky and very dry. Also your lips will crack and bleed. These eruptions on the lips make it very difficult for you to eat and drink properly.
  • You will also experience flaky skin on the heels and where you have breakouts. The breakouts on those heel are more likely to cause you to accumulate more dirt in the area and start to feel pain in the area. Thus, if you does not take care of your body properlys, wrinkles will start appearing in your body very quickly. It will automatically aggravate some diseases in your body during these winter seasons.
  • In these winter seasons, white patches can be clearly visible even if you are slightly scratches on your body. In winters, you tend to get more dryness on your skin because you use too much hot water and shower for long periods of time. If you do a lot of swimming winter your skin is very dry due to the fact that the water in the swimming pool is chlorinated.
  • During this winter season you can reduce the use of soaps, shampoos and other products that contain too many harsh chemicals. Because naturally the soaps we use in shampoos and products remove the oil from our body. So this winter season you can use mild products to reduce dryness in your body.

Prevention- winter skin care routine

  • Due to the low water content in the body, you can get dryness more, so it is better to drink three liters of water properly daily.
  • Also, you can avoid using hot water to wash your face and take a bath and use warm water instead.
  • Before bath you can apply coconut oil or castor oil or any skin care oil of your choice on your skin and soak it in bath. By taking a bath like this there is a lot of possibility to reduce dryness in your body.
  • Don’t forget to apply your favorite moisturizer when your skin is moist after showering.
  • You should use this moisturizer regularly at least twice a day, morning and night.
  • For those who don’t want to use a moisturizer, you can use natural aloe vera by removing the top layer and using only the gel on your skin.
  • When you buy a moisturizer, look for some of the listed ingredients. like hyaluronic acid, 3- Ceramide, Glycerine, SPF.!!! All these will keep your skin well moisturized and your skin repair will fix this. We can see below some winter skin care routine packs.

Winter skin care routine: Remedy 1

Necessary ingredients:-

  1. Castor Oil
  2. Coconut Oil
  3. Honey
  4. Multani Metti powder

How to make:-

Take one tablespoon of castor oil and coconut oil in equal amounts. Then do add a tablespoon of honey and multani metti powder as needed. Mix all these well well. You don’t need to measure as shown in this post, if you’re going to use it all over your body you can take as much as you need. Now this pack is ready to apply.

Commonly this coconut oil along with castor oil and honey will keep your skin moisturized. And all this keeps the moisture in your skin intact and protected so too that it doesn’t dry out completely. Also this multani metti will give your face a good glow. This face pack will reduce your skin complexion and keep your skin glowing.

How to use:-

Clean your face and body thoroughly. Then you can apply this pack that we have prepared on your skin. You can leave this pack on your skin for twenty minutes or you can wash it after three-quarters of it dries. Try this winter skin care routine two or three days a week. You may not even notice that your skin is dry, and you may find it gradually subsides.

Winter skin care routine: Remedy 2- Body mist

Necessary ingredients:-

  1. Hibiscus Flower
  2. Basil
  3. Rose Water

How to make:-

Take as much of this hibiscus flower as you can not get. Put  one to four five hibiscus flowers in a vessel and pour required amount of water and boil it for one to two to three minutes. Then after it cools, filter it and take it. Now the hibiscus flower water is ready. Apply as much rose water as you need.

This rose water can be purchased from a natural product company or you can make your own at home. If you want to you can make it at home, take required amount of rose petals and put it in put a vessel and boil it with required amount of water. Then  drain it and filter its water only so you can use it to this way make rose water at home.

To make our department Tulsi water, take a handful of Tulsi and wash it. Then put it in a vessel and pour required amount of water and leave it for one and a half to two hours. By doing this, the goodness in the Tulsi will go down in the water. Then you pour these three into a spray bottle and mix. This Body mist of yours is ready to use.

You can take it with you wherever you want. You can spray when your skin feels dry. Spray as many times in a day as you want. This body mist also plays an important role in your winter skin care routine to prevent your skin from not becoming dry.

Remedy 3:

Necessary ingredients:-

  1. Basil leaf
  2. Honey
  3. Coconut oil

How to make:-

Take take a handful of these tulsi leaves and add it add to a mixing jar, add some water and grind it into a paste. Then add one tablespoon of honey and two tablespoons of coconut oil to it. Then mix all these well. Now this moisturizing pack is ready to apply. Use use this face pack regularly two or three days a week and this face pack will play an important role in reducing your dryness.

This Tulsi plays a very great great role in the fields of aesthetics and medicine. Tulsi is rich in phyton such as electrolyte minerals. It also contain more vitamins and that’s why our forefathers did used to eat basil leaves every morning on an empty stomach regularly. You can also not use this Tulsi oil on your skin which is beneficial for your skin.

Tulsi contains vital oils that keep your skin glowing and moisturized. We are all well aware of the benefits of this honey which gives your skin a good glow and pretty. The added coconut oil also plays a role in keeping your skin moisturized.
